CTS 265 - CCNP ROUTE: Implementing IP Routing

4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly one term.
(formerly CSI 272 - CCNP ROUTE: Implementing IP Routing)

Acquire skills to implement, monitor, and maintain routing services in an enterprise network. Learn how to plan, configure, and verify the implementation of complex enterprise LAN and WAN routing solutions, using a range of routing protocols in IPv4 and IPv6 environments. Configure secure routing solutions to support branch offices and mobile workers. Demonstrate the use of hands-on simulation learning to reinforce configuration skills. Lab fee $100.

Prerequisite(s): CTS 231  or Proof of CCNA Certification or permission of CTS department chair.

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Implement IPv6, EIGRP, BGP and OSPF in an enterprise network
    • Define EIGRP, OSPF and BGP Terminology and Operations.
    • Implement IPv6 in an Enterprise Network
    • Configure and Verify IPv6 Addresses
    • Configure and verify advanced OSPF features
  • Configure secure routing solutions to support branch offices and mobile workers.
    • Plan the Branch Office Implementation
    • Plan for the Mobile Worker Implementation
    • Route traffic to the Mobile Worker
    • Define and implement Path Control
