HIS 224 - History of Modern Europe 3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Study Europe from 1870 to the present. Explore and analyze domestic changes in European states since the Franco-Prussian War, imperialism, interior reforms, origins of World War I, peace-making at Versailles, depression, totalitarianism, background of World War II, the Cold War and detente through the revolutions in the former Soviet sphere.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for ENG 111 or ENG 115 or ENG 121 .
