SOC 121 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology 3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This course meets the Social and Behavioral Sciences General Education Requirement.
Introduces the comparative cross-cultural study of human behavior and social organization. Takes an ethnographic approach to examine topics such as the concept of culture, family and kinship, economic, social and political organization and religion.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for ENG 111 or ENG 115 or ENG 121 .
Crosslisted: Also offered as ANT 121 ; credit is not given for both SOC 121 and ANT 121 .
