ACH 105H - Textiles and Textile Applications - Honors3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and two hours of studio weekly; one term. This is an honors course.
Learn textiles, their construction and application. Identify fiber, yarn systems, method of weaving, dye and special applications. Learn the Textile Complex (process of raw materials through production to the end-user) and provide an overview of custom drapery, upholstery and carpet. The basics of measuring and estimating are also included. Lab fee $40.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for Honors Courses.
Crosslisted: Also offered as ACH 105 ; credit is not given for both ACH 105 and ACH 105H.
Note: Complete and present an honors capstone research that extends beyond the classroom.
