CJS 250 - Introduction to Forensic Science4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Introduces the principles and practices of forensic sciences. Reviews the history of forensic science, outlining the integrative aspects of this discipline and those of the biological and natural sciences. Includes an examination of the medical and legal uses of the forensic sciences and their specific application in the resolution of criminal investigations. Also examines the significance and limitations of DNA evidence in medical and legal matters. Lab fees reduced for this course. Refer to Course Fees .
