HIT 276 - Health Information Technology Practicum3 credit hours - 160 hours practicum; one term.
Participate in a supervised practicum using simulation software and in a clinical practice setting. Perform functions related to the analysis and reporting requirements for health records, release of information, coding of medical records, and data abstracting. Take a mock Registered Health Information Technician accreditation examination. Clinical fee $30.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of all Health Information Technology degree required courses prior to practicum with a grade of C or better.
