HUS 122 - Developmental Disabilities 23 credit hours - One term. Course exposes students to the history, causes, identification, and prevention of developmental disabilities. Normal life span development versus developmental delays are reviewed. Genetic and chromosomal abnormalities are discussed, as well as pre- and post-natal socioenvironmental factors. Special attention is paid to autism, seizure disorders and cerebral palsy.
Prerequisite(s): HUS 120 .
