ASL 114 - Fingerspelling and Numbers3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Develop expressive and receptive fingerspelling as well as usage of numbers in ASL. Use receptive skills focusing on whole words, phrase recognition, and identification of finger-spelled words in context. Develop speed, clarity, and fluency. Study number usage focusing on cardinal and ordinal systems, incorporating systems, and other independent classes of signs.
Prerequisite(s): ASL 113 with a grade of C or better or permission of department.
Note: May be taken concurrently with ASL 113 with permission of department chair.
