CJS 219 - Advanced Patrol Operations3 credit hours - 45 hours of lecture; winter academy term.
RESTRICTED. Open only to Police Academy Option students. Covers topics mandated by the Maryland Police Training Commission for pre-employment certification as a sworn law enforcement officer. Topics include traffic stops, effective use of patrol vehicle, documentation of traffic offenses and responding to crimes in progress. Lab fees reduced for this course. See Course Fees .
Prerequisite(s): CJS 112 , LGS 215 /CJS 215, LGS 216 /CJS 216, CJS 222 , EMT 104 or HEA 150 and approval from the Police Academy Director.
