CTS 222 - UNIX/LINUX System Administration4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Formerly CSI 236 - UNIX/LINUX System Administration
Learn loading, configuring and maintaining UNIX operating systems. Focus on popular UNIX operating systems such as Redhat LINUX and SUN’s SOLARIS UNIX operating system. Learn theory and hands-on implementation of the boot-up and shutdown process, file system creation and structure, system maintenance and security, network file system (NFS), network information system (NIS) and UNIX IP network configuration and maintenance. Presents tools and concepts to become a junior-level UNIX system administrator. Lab fees reduced for this course. See Course Fees .
