4 credit hours-45 lecture and 30 laboratory; one term. Recognize pathogenic bacteria including the characteristics of isolation and identification. Develop a familiarity with virology, parasitology, and mycology. This course prepares students for the clinical practicum in a clinical microbiology laboratory. Lab fee $180
Prerequisite(s):MLT 101 and BIO 223 both with a C or better, or permission of the MLT Program Coordinator.
