MUS 213 - Music Theory and Ear Training 34 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term.
Continues studies completed in MUS 114 , Music Theory and Ear Training 2. Conduct an in-depth study of chromatic harmony; examine some techniques of 20th century composition. Learn writing in small forms. Continue developing sight singing, dictation and keyboard skills. Analysis of works relating to problems being studied. Lab fees reduced for this course. Prerequisite(s): MUS 113 and MUS 114 or permission of department chair.
