MUS 260 - History of Music 1

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly, one term.
Examine the development of music in the western world from the period of ancient Greece to the middle baroque period. Emphasis on a stylistic analysis of the music.

Prerequisite(s): MUS 101 or permission of department.

Note: Although MUS 260 and MUS 261 can be taken in either order, the sequential order is recommended.
