ENG 214H - British Literature 2 - Honors3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. This is an honors course.
This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement.
Read British poetry and prose (fiction and nonfiction) composed since the end of the 18th century. Study significant literary, social, and historical influences on writers of this period, such as romanticism, industrialism, the crisis in religion, and the aftermath of the world wars of the twentieth century.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for Honors courses and ENG 101 /ENG 101A or permission of department. ENG 213 or ENG 213H is not a prerequisite.
Crosslisted: Also offered as ENG 214 ; credit is not given for both ENG 214 and ENG 214H.
Note: Complete and present an honors capstone research project that extends beyond the classroom.
