CTS 280 - Special Topics: Intro to Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)

4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term
Describe the fundamental concepts of installation, configuration, validation, operation, and troubleshooting in Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) enterprise networks. Perform router and switch configuration tasks related to MPLS. Analyze the MPLS-related Request for Comments (RFC) documentation. Use Wireshark to perform packet captures for analysis and troubleshooting of MPLS data plane and control plane traffic. Lab Fee $100.

Prerequisite(s): CTS 265 or proof of a current CCNA/CCNP certification or permission of the CTS department chair.
