ART 161 - Video Editing3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Study the art of storytelling through digital video editing. Learn the history, theory, practices and aesthetic qualities of post-production through screenings, discussions, readings and editing lab problems. Lab fee $45.
Note: It is recommended to take ART 160 before taking ART 161.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Analyze techniques editors use to construct narrative and abstract scenarios.
- Develop proficiency of the non-linear editing system Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Enhance skills and practices in digital video production workflow.
- Work independently to create original video projects.
- Develop skills for critical discussion and analysis of one’s own work and the work of others.
