ART 160 - Video 13 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Study film and video production theory and techniques. Learn to create storyboards, to use video equipment, to organize shoots and to put together a video crew. Create, mix and edit images, sounds and video into presentations for various genres. Lab fee $55.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Recognize major formal, aesthetic, and conceptual applications of video in contemporary art.
- Gain proficiency in introductory-level video pre and postproduction.
- Use the industry standard Adobe Premiere Pro editing software for the creation of moving-image art.
- Create storyboards and identify shot structures.
- Create original video projects independently and in groups.
- Discuss video art in an historic context.
- Develop skills for critical discussion and analysis of one’s own work and the work of others.
