ART 269 - Responsive Web Design3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Learn the process of planning, designing and building of responsive websites including project planning and wireframing, creation of mood boards and design comps. Create websites using responsive frameworks, incorporating multi-sized graphics and adaptive content, across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Lab fee $45.
Prerequisite(s): ART 170 or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Design websites for multiple screens and contexts.
- Optimize images for multiple screen sizes and resolutions.
- Use visual design and usability techniques when designing for multiple screen sizes.
- Apply typographic principles for screen design
- Use media queries and other techniques to customize the user experience and visual design.
- Develop and implement strategies for planning and building a successful responsive website.
