DAN 111 - Beginning Ballet 12 credit hours - One hour of lecture and two hours of studio weekly; one term. Introduction to the fundamentals of classical ballet. Emphasis is on alignment, turn-out, barre work, footwork and exposure to basic movement vocabulary. May be repeated once for a total of four credit hours.

- Explain the structure of a ballet class and basic ballet terminology.
