DAN 221 - Intermediate Modern Dance 12 credit hours - One hour of lecture and two hours of studio weekly; one term. Continue exploration and development of modern dance technique. Learn increased movement vocabulary as well as lengthier and more complex movement combinations. Conduct a select study of various modern dance choreographers. May be repeated once for a total of four credit hours.
Prerequisite(s): Any beginning-level 2 dance course or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Review basic skills needed for contemporary/modern dance.

- Study Modern dance pioneers and their importance to today’s dance world.
