GRK 111 - Elementary Greek 1

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement.

Develop vocabulary and grammar skills for reading and writing classical Greek. Learn about classical Greek culture and civilization.

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Use basic grammatical and syntactical elements of Classical Greek.
Read and pronounce basic Classical Greek.
Translate literary passages in Classical Greek with the aid of a dictionary.
Formulate comparisons between students’ cultural experiences and the cultural products, practices, and perspectives of Classical Greek culture.
