MUS 151 - Class Voice 12 credit hours - One hour of lecture and two hours of studio weekly; one term. Basic singing techniques and principles of correct breathing, tone production, vowel formation and diction. Study material is varied and represents standard vocal literature.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop proficiency in notation, technique, diction, and performance practice.
- Develop proficiency in technical work/vocal exercises.

- Develop proficiency in sight reading.
- Performance of selected repertoire: classical, jazz, and commercial/popular.
