SOC 210 - Sociology of Deviance3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Determine the role, function and meaning of deviation in society. Focus on the theories of deviance, regulation of behavior, deviant subcultures and the management of deviant identity. Topics include deviant lifestyles, violent groups and criminals, human sexuality, hustlers, drug users and others who might be viewed as outsiders by the eye of the beholder.
