BPA 125H - Principles of Marketing - Honors

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
This is an honors course.

Examine the components of an effective marketing strategy. Understand target markets and how to conduct market research. Explore pricing strategies and other tools designed to inform and persuade consumers. Determine what products or services to provide and effective ways to distribute products and services.

Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for Honors courses.

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Create a marketing plan.
  2. Select and segment a target market.

  5. Identify an effective promotional mix, including advertising, publicity and personal selling.
