ART 157 - 3D Game Production

3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory weekly; one term.
Learn how to make video games using a 3D game engine and premade assets. Develop skills in level design, scripting, and interface design. Lab fee $45.

Note: It is recommended that students take ART 155  and ART 157 in different semesters.

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Produce original 3D video games.
  2. Construct games using 3D primitives and imported geometry.
  3. Render game environments using CG lighting and materials.
  4. Use first and third person character rigs to navigate the game space.
  5. Make game dynamic using Game and Physics Engines.
