BPA 275 - Internship in Business

3 credit hours - 15 hours work weekly
Take what you have learned in the classroom and apply it in the real world. You will work with a business or entrepreneurial organization to gain hands-on experience while still getting guidance from your professor. Together with your employer and faculty mentor, you will set clear goals for your work experience, so it connects to your academic studies. By the end of the course, you will have practical skills, professional insights, and a better understanding of how business concepts work outside the textbook.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor or academic chair.

Note: Students must have identified or acquired an internship prior to enrolling in the course. 

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explore career alternatives prior to graduation or transfer.
  2. Integrate theory and practice.
  3. Develop work habits and attitudes necessary for job success.
