About the Computer Science Department 

Purpose: Prepares students for careers requiring a strong background in computer technology.  Covers fundamental concepts in software development, internet application development and mobile device application development.  

Emphasizes the development expertise in software development using multiple Internet development languages.  Emphasizes the roles and responsibilities of an Internet Application developer.

Program Outcomes


Upon successful completion of the Internet Applications Development Area of Concentration, students will be able to:

  1. Use HTML/CSS to create web pages
  2. Use JavaScript to create web pages
  3. Use jQuery to manipulate HTML DOM  (Document Object Model)
  4. Use PHP to enhance web pages with user activity
