BIO 103 - General Botany4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. This course meets the Biological and Physical Sciences General Education Requirement.
Gain an introduction to members of the plant kingdom and their closest relatives. Learn the unique life strategies of plants that are the basis for their importance to man and their role in shaping global ecology. Through an examination of plant form and function, students will learn how and why plant life defines the biological potential of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Lab fee $40.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for ENG 111 or ENG 115 or ENG 121 and either eligibility for any general education math or a score of 27 or better on the Arithmetic Placement Test or a B or better in MAT 005 .
