NUR 120 - Foundations for Nursing7 credit hours - 4 hours lecture per week and 90 hours of directed laboratory per term; one term. Learn the roles of the nurse as provider, manager and member within the discipline of nursing. Gain an understanding of the nursing process in the role of care provider. Acquire the concepts, principles and skills used in assessing and providing care for patients. Demonstrate competencies and practice skills. Lab fee $200. Clinical fee $200.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 231 or BIO 233 or equivalent with grade of B or better.
Corequisite(s): NUR 121 and NUR 122 and BIO 232 or BIO 234 or equivalent.
