EMT 112-EMT-Intermediate Concepts and Practice 23 credit hours – 30 hours of lecture, 30 hours of college lab; one term. Introduces the student to the kinematics of trauma and pathophysiology of shock, the study of body fluid and electrolyte imbalances. Includes techniques for assessing and implementing treatment modalities for patients involved in multi-system trauma. Students are expected to practice selected procedures on each other during college lab. Lab fee $75.
Prerequisite(s): (1) EMT 110 , EMT 111 ; and (2) permission of the department chair.
Corequisite(s): EMT 113 .
