HUS 216-Theories of Counseling3 credit hours – Three hours weekly; one term. Surveys the major theories of counseling and their theorists. Introduces students to the application of various counseling techniques and procedures used for behavior change. In class, students examine case studies and practice delivery of the counseling modalities. Emphasis is on professional values and ethics.
Prerequisite(s): HUS 115 or permission of department chair.
Corequisite(s): HUS 217 or permission of department chair.
