NUR 230-Nursing Management of Clients with Complex Health Problems and Transition into Nursing9 credit hours – 60 hours of lecture and 225 hours of directed laboratory per term. Develop concepts, principles and skills to care for clients with uncompensated alterations of functioning within multiple systems. Emphasis is on application of the nursing process to care for acutely ill clients. Also, on the development of the role of the nurse as a member within the discipline of nursing. Directed lab focus is geared toward assisting students to assume the roles of an accountable care provider and manager. Lab fee $400. Clinical fee $200.
Prerequisite(s): NUR 220 and NUR 221 with a grade of C or better.
Corequisite(s): NUR 231
