MEC 280-Special Topics in Mechatronics - Advanced Motor Controllers

4 credit hours – Four hours of lecture and directed laboratory weekly; one term.
Study the fundamentals of AC and DC motor control technology. Learn about motor operations, control techniques, variable frequency drives, sensors, motor efficiency and power. Use technical documentation such as data sheets, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics in hands-on laboratory exercises and projects. Lab fee $30

Prerequisite(s): EET 130 and MEC 110 and MEC 130 or permission of engineering department chair.
