SPA 227-Intermediate Spanish and Latin American Film3 credit hours – Three hours lecture weekly; one term Dissect and debate contemporary issues presented in Spanish and Latin American films such as: gender roles, immigration, political influence, censorship, socioeconomic ramifications, and globalization. Examine Hispanic values, beliefs, and perceptions through the lens of cinema. This course will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
Prerequisite(s): SPA 212 or four years of high school Spanish or permission of the department chair.
Note: Open to native speakers by permission of the department chair.
