MEC 232 - AC Motor Controls

2 credit hours - Two hours lecture and directed lab weekly, one term.
Learn the fundamentals of AC motor control including starting, braking, overload protection, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and troubleshooting. Explore the various processes and technologies through hands-on labs while exercising proper safety procedures. Lab fee $30.

Prerequisite(s): MEC 230 or permission of the engineering department chair.
