BPA 236 - Introduction to Airport and Seaport Operations

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
Provides an introduction to the structure, organization and operation of a modern airport and seaport, including current issues and challenges. Includes the critical interface with private sector providers of agency, terminal, stevedoring, tug, and line handling services, and the significant roles of custom- house brokers, freight forwarders and cargo consolidators. Also examines the effects of government regulatory agencies.

Prerequisite(s): BPA 235 or permission of department chair.
