EDU 241 - Methods of Teaching for Elementary Education

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
Discover teaching methodology for effective instruction in elementary classrooms. Emphasis on the development of learning objectives, selection of instructional techniques and use of materials and resources appropriate for elementary content/curricula. Explore basic principles of classroom management and applies theories of learning and teaching to the organization and presentation of elementary lessons.

Prerequisite(s): A bachelor’s degree and seeking teacher certification or permission from department chair.
