MLT 204H - Clinical Immunology/Immunohematology

4 credit hours - 45 lecture and 30 laboratory; one term.
This is an honors course.

Learn principles and practices of clinical immunology and clinical immunohematology (blood banking). Topics include antibody structure and function, the complement system, and disorders of the immune system. Blood bank topics include blood group systemization, compatibility testing, donor testing, cross matching, specialized testing, and transfusion reaction. Lab fee $235.

Prerequisite(s): MLT 101 with a grade of C or better and eligibility for Honors courses.
