ACH 213 - Sustainable Interiors3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Focuses on sustainable design choices and the tools for implementing changes in the use of our planet’s limited resources. Demonstrates the impact on the individual and environment with the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) system for interiors. Instruction incorporates an analysis of green philosophies in interior design, systems, and building products. The student will create projects in presentation format and research new technologies. Lab fee $40.
Prerequisite(s): ACH 203 (formerly ACH 102) and ACH 242 .
