ART 154 - 3D Computer Graphics3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Study the concepts, techniques, and technology commonly used in gaming, entertainment, architecture, and engineering to produce 3D computer graphics. Learn about modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, animation, rigging, and dynamics through the creation of virtual 3D objects and images. Lab fee $30.
Note: Typically offered at MC and OL; fall, spring, and summer terms.
Course Outcomes:
- Produce Polygon Models using a range of techniques
- Render Scenes using CG Lights, Raytracing, and Radiosity
- Create Materials and Textures for 3D objects
- Animate 3D Objects using Keyframe Animation
- Create and animate FK and IK Character Rigs
- Produce a range of digital special effects
- Produce a demo reel
