BPA 125 - Principles of Marketing3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Examine the components of an effective marketing strategy. Understand target markets and how to conduct market research. Explore pricing strategies and other tools designed to inform and persuade consumers. Determine what products or services to provide and effective ways to distribute products and services.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Create a marketing plan.
- Select and segment a target market.
- Evaluate options for products, services, pricing and distribution.
- Examine the importance of branding and how branding decisions are made.
- Identify an effective promotional mix, including advertising, publicity and personal selling.
