HUS 232 - Treatment of Psychological Trauma in Military and Veteran Populations3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term. Explore clinical treatment interventions and strategies of trauma-related disorders in military and veteran populations. Treatment interventions, such as cognitive-behavior therapy, group therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), technology-based interventions, family and couples counseling, hypnosis and psychopharmacology will be reviewed.
Note: Typically offered OL; fall and spring terms.
Course Outcomes:
- Explain clinical treatment interventions and strategies of trauma-related disorders in military and veteran populations.
