ITA 112 - Elementary Italian 2

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement. 

Build upon knowledge learned in ITA 111  with emphasis now on speaking, reading and writing.

Prerequisite(s): ITA 111  or one year of high school Italian or permission of department chair.

Note: Not for native speakers. Typically offered MC and OL; fall and spring terms.

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

1. Communicate ideas orally and in writing using simple language construction in Italian.

2. Use Italian grammatical structures correctly.

3. Use Italian vocabulary correctly.

4. Read Italian at the elementary level.

5. Discuss the complex relationship between the social, aesthetic, political, and physical environment and the culture of an Italian society.
