ART 260 - Video 23 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Build on knowledge and skills acquired in ART 160 . Study hands on pre-production, production, post production, studio production and distribution through the creation of original videos. Lab fee $55.
Prerequisite(s): ART 160 or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain major formal, aesthetic, and conceptual applications of video in contemporary art.
- Place video art in an historic context.
- Demonstrate an understanding of video editing techniques and the ways in which they can enhance an image.
- Formulate a personal visual aesthetic.
- Work independently and in groups to create original video projects.
- Develop skills for critical discussion and analysis of one’s own work and the work of others.
