DAN 212 - Intermediate Ballet 22 credit hours - One hour of lecture and two hours of studio weekly; one term. Provides continued study of classical ballet technique with emphasis on performance presentation and challenging technical combinations. Designed to develop strength and accuracy, musicality and flexibility. May be repeated once for a total of four credit hours.
Prerequisite(s): DAN 211 or permission of department chair.

Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate intermediate barre and center combinations with ease.
- Understand musicality of intermediate ballet combinations.
- Recognize the difference between the various styles of ballet technique (Vaganova, Checcetti, RAD).
- Choreograph center combinations with correct counts and terminology.
- Learn Classical and Romantic ballet variations.
