ACH 203 - Commercial Design Studio

4 credit hours - One hour of lecture and six hours of studio weekly; one term.
Examine commercial interior design with a concentration in hospitality, retail space, recreational and corporate facilities. Apply public health, safety and welfare regulations and sustainability requirements. Employ the steps in a commercial design project from client interviews, programming, schematics, design development to design presentations. Review materials and methods for commercial design applications with emphasis on commercial textiles and wall coverings.  Create advanced digital and manual presentations including concept drawings, elevations, color renderings and presentation board layouts. Lab fee $20.

Prerequisite(s): ACH 104  and ACH 202  or permission of department chair.
