ACH 203H - Commercial Design Studio - Honors4 credit hours - One hour of lecture and six hours of studio weekly; one term. This is an Honors course.
Examine commercial interior design with a concentration in hospitality, retail space, recreational and corporate facilities. Apply public health, safety and welfare regulations and sustainability requirements. Employ the steps in a commercial design project from client interviews, programming, schematics, design development to design presentations. Review materials and methods for commercial design applications with emphasis on commercial textiles and wall coverings. Create advanced digital and manual presentations including concept drawings, elevations, color renderings and presentation board layouts. Lab fee $20.
Prerequisite(s): ACH 104 and ACH 202 or permission of department chair and eligibility for Honors Courses.

Note: Complete and present an honors capstone research that extends beyond the classroom.
