EET 130 - Introduction to Electronic CircuitsFour credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. Explore the fundamental theory of Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) concepts by analyzing and troubleshooting resistive and reactive circuits. Through laboratory work, develop a basic knowledge of related electronic components, proper and safe use of electronic test equipment including power supplies, digital multimeters, function generators, and oscilloscopes. Lab fee $25.
Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for MAT 137 or MAT 145 or MAT 151 .
Note: Typically offered MC; fall and spring terms.
Course Outcomes:
- Design and build circuits
- Analyze AC and DC circuits that include resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, and transformers
- Build circuits from supplied schematics
- Demonstrate proper use of test equipment for circuit analysis and troubleshooting
