EET 130 - Introduction to Electronic Circuits

Four credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term.
Explore the fundamental theory of Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) concepts by analyzing and troubleshooting resistive and reactive circuits. Through laboratory work, develop a basic knowledge of related electronic components, proper and safe use of electronic test equipment including power supplies, digital multimeters, function generators, and oscilloscopes. Lab fee $25.

Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for MAT 137  or MAT 145  or MAT 151 .

Note: Typically offered MC; fall and spring terms.

Course Outcomes:
  1. Design and build circuits
  2. Analyze AC and DC circuits that include resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, and transformers
  3. Build circuits from supplied schematics
  4. Demonstrate proper use of test equipment for circuit analysis and troubleshooting
