FRE 212H - Intermediate French 2 - Honors

3 credit hours - Three hours weekly; one term.
This is an honors course.

This course meets the Arts & Humanities General Education Requirement. 

Master intermediate vocabulary and grammar structures. Read short poetry and short fiction in French. Discuss French and Francophone culture.

Prerequisite(s): FRE 211  or three years of high school French or permission of department chair.

Crosslisted: Also offered as FRE 212 ; credit not given for both FRE 212  and FRE 212H.

Note: Not for native speakers. Typically offered at MC and OL; fall and spring terms.

Course Outcomes:
 

 

1. Demonstrate correct usage of French grammatical structures.

2. Write clear sentences in French.

3. Communicate ideas orally using simple language construction.

4. Demonstrate comprehension of oral and written French.

5. Gain an appreciation of the various cultures whose native language is French.
