ACH 215 - Interior Design Standards3 credit hours - Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. A comprehensive study of the key components of the NCIDQ (National Council of Interior Qualification) exam. Intensive review of all critical elements including building codes, space planning, lighting strategies, business procedures, product knowledge and sample testing are included. Lab fee $40.
Prerequisite(s): ACH 203 (formerly ACH 102) or permission of department chair.
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply accumulated knowledge of Interior Design and Architecture.
- Develop a plan to retain knowledge of collegiate studies.
- Be alert to the changing business environment in Interior Design.
- Demonstrate interior design knowledge.
- Determine the primary subject matter necessary to achieve certification in Interior Design.
